Jill can trace her love of art and her career choices from the discovery of the paintings in the Encyclopedia Britannica at age five. Jill was so enamored with the paintings she saw that she took her crayons and did renderings of them, she covered them with cellophane and tried to sell them door to door. She did meet with a moderate success, so she went into advertising and eventually into residential interior design. When Jill’s daughters went out into the world she decided to get back into creating art. She was introduced to pastel paintings by local artist Debbie Wardrope and she fell in love with the depth of color and the richness that the pastels provided. Jill likes that she can hold the stick in her hand and get good and messy, just like the old days when created with her crayons. Jill also created with acrylics and oils, Jill enjoys capturing the magic in the ordinary and with her art she wants to evoke feelings and memories with each piece of art she creates..
