Meet photographer Claire Maen for the First Weekend on Main event. Join everyone downtown on Saturday nights where Studio Seven Arts is featuring some of our own artists as well as local artisans from Pleasanton and Livermore. Check out our calendar of events and plan your next art excursion to meet and view these artists work, they will be out in front of the gallery, demonstrating their craft and some will be selling pieces of art.

Claire Maen is a young photographer and writer from France. She tries to capture the poetic beauty of post-industrial landscapes and ordinary life with her old Rolleiflex camera. She learned photography with her father, a talented amateur photographer from France. Despite our world turning digital, she believes in the power and beauty of film photography, and its delicate colors. She has been living in Pleasanton for several years now, and she is also a researcher in Education and a teacher at UC Berkeley. She lives with her husband, their young daughter and their cat.
