Trung Cao is an award-winning Greater Bay Area artist who has exhibited in art galleries and museums and teaches traditional oil painting techniques. He champions the promotion of art and artists by being active in art organizations through fundraising and serving as a board member. While he embraces many mediums, what he enjoys the most is painting with oils, creating figurative, portraiture, animals, and landscapes. His work focuses on the notion of harmony, storytelling, and capturing the exquisite using traditional oil layering techniques that create luminosity, atmosphere, and mood. The oil layering technique results in an inner glow created by light refracting through the layers of glaze giving depth and fullness to each painting.

 In his nature series, the artist explores the impact of places many of us feel an emotional attachment to, whether it’s the majestic Yosemite with its great mountains and waterfalls, the many moods of Yellowstone, or perhaps simple places of our imagination where our hearts call home. The timeless emotional effects of nature have the power to take us places of peace and comfort. It the marvelous, spellbinding, and empowering scenes that inspires the artist to paint what he feels from such beautiful sights, a feeling of pure joy and vitality.
