Tyler’s oil paintings are his depictions and interpretations of the California landscape, following in the footsteps of great landscape painters who worked throughout the state in the early 1800s. As a native Californian, Tyler found his voice for inspiration with his impressionistic brushstrokes and sharp-edged clarity, that are infused with his personal elements. He brings a clear-eyed realism and sense of space that is imbued with his love of the journey, the joy of discovery, and the quiet, contemplative beauty that moves his spirit.
