The Space Needle took its place among the Seattle skyline in 1962 as the center piece for the Seattle World’s Fair. Tim Huhn, a Seattle native, was influenced by the World’s Fair with its stylistic optimism and innovative promise of a brighter “tomorrow.” Inspired by the forward thinking designs, ideas and technologies of the ‘62 World’s Fair, this painting, titled ‘Visions of tomorrow,’ imagines an alternate reality for the future of Seattle.
