Michael Nisperos is an abstract and figural expressionist. Nisperos' ambitious works offer a fresh vision into the meaning of the human experience. Throughout his energetic imagery, he captures the elusive subjects of emotion through his paintings and drawings. Fascinated and influenced by primitive artifacts he addresses every brush stroke with passion and desire.

Michael Nisperos was born in 1953 in Glendale, California. He was educated at Los Angeles Valley College and then spent two years studying in the Fine Arts Program at California State University. After receiving a scholarship at California State University, he furthered his education by studying at the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles. He gained professional experience as a designer for an international art corporation and for an art wholesale manufacturer.

Michael Nisperos' works have been published in several highly regarded publications, such as ARTnews, Art in America, Norma Burba Trulsson, Palm Springs Life, The Phoenix Gazette, and The Arizona Republic. In addition, Nisperos has been a recipient of the Masters Award for a painting at the Armand Hammer Museum of Fine Art and Cultural Center, and has lectured in China at several art studios.

Diversity of subjective and non-subjective images combined with Mike Nisperos' hatching away layers of paint with his palette knife reveals its eternal life. He analogizes his technique as image, which is released for its first breath of air. Michael believes that through his painting awaits the answer to his creative balance of expressionism.

Nisperos’ works are presentations of multifaceted expressionism. “…Sculptures of canvas” they have been called. Mike Nisperos' work can be found in private and corporate collections all over the world and are exclusive to Artworld of Sherway in Canada.
